There are several ways to get rid of the brush prunings from the vineyard. The main process is chopping with a mechanical shredder to incorporate the brush back into the ground. The other is by hand to keep the vineyard as sterile as possible. Both methods of vineyard brush removal have a positive and a negative result to them. Shredding the brush can compact the ground but it also adds tilth and nutrients back into the soil. Picking brush up does not compact the ground and gets rid of any potential bad viruses or diseases the vineyard carry. Watch the video about vineyard brush removal to learn more.
